2013 ThrillerFest Award for Best Novel

Spilled BloodSpilled Blood by Brian Freeman was honored by the International Thriller Writers as the best hardcover thriller novel of the past year. Two small Minnesota towns, St. Croix and Barron, are divided by a river, literally and figuratively, that turns them into warring camps in this harrowing, melodramatic stand-alone from Freeman (summary provided by Publisher's Weekly).

The Thriller Awards are announced annually at ThrillerFest, an event hosted by the International Thriller Writers to recognize the best books published in the thriller genre from the previous year.

Past winners of the Best Hardcover Novel include 11/22/63 by Stephen King, Bad Blood by John Sandford and The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner.
