Countywide Borrowing Program

The five library systems in Hamilton County have entered into a reciprocal borrowing agreement in order to introduce a wider variety of materials and programs to residents throughout the county.

There are five library systems in seven locations. These include Carmel Clay Public Library in Carmel, Hamilton East Public Library in Fishers and Noblesville, Hamilton North Public Library in Atlanta and Cicero, Sheridan Public Library in Sheridan, and Westfield Washington Public Library in Westfield.

Bring your valid library card (from your home library), a picture ID and proof of current address (piece of mail or bill with your name and current address). The lending library will simply register your existing card into their system. You will be required to adhere to the policies of the library from which your borrow materials or attend programs. These may vary from library to library, so be sure to ask about the policies for that specific library system.

Once you are registered in the lending library's system, your library card from your home library will be all you need.

There are no additional fees to borrow materials or attend programs (unless applicable) at any other Hamilton County library. However, you will be held responsible for any fines or fees that might accrue on your account.
