Beginning Genealogy Classes
The Carmel Clay Public Library is offering two beginning genealogy classes this fall starting the 2nd week in October. Each class will cover the basics of genealogy research including how to get started, how to organize your information, what kinds of records are available and how to find them. Many resources for genealogists today are online; therefore, a reasonable "comfort level" with computers is helpful.
There are still spaces available in each class. Please register by calling the Carmel Clay Public Library Reference Desk at 844-3362. Priority will be given to Carmel and Clay township residents who have a Carmel Clay Public Library card.
Genealogy for Beginners
If you are interested in this topic but cannot attend at these times, please call to be put on a list to be notified of future classes. Also, the library hosts a drop-in Genealogy Lab each Tuesday morning (10am) and Thursday evening (6pm) in the 2nd floor Training Room.
If you have any questions about these events please stop by the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of the library or call 844-3362.
