	Saturday, February 23, 2013 - Family Tree Basics, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
During this class you will fill out your pedigree chart with standard format as far as you can, fill out at least one family group sheet with standard format, be introduced to the U.S. Census, and search the 1940 U.S. Census for a parent or grandparent. Computers will be used. Some Internet searching experience is recommended. Please bring birth, marriage and death dates (if available) for your parents and grandparents - more if you have them - as well as the location of residence (state, county) of parents and/or grandparents in 1940 if possible. Space is limited to 10 computer stations. One couple or two friends willing to share a computer may count as one. Registration is required by calling the Reference Desk at (317) 844-3362. Clay Township residents will have priority; nonresidents may be placed on a waiting list. This program will be held in the Training Room on the second floor.
