Plot/Summary:
Mike Wingate is happily married with a precocious 8-year- old daughter. The owner of a thriving construction company, Mike has become a strong and loving father despite being abandoned by his parents at the age of four and growing up in foster care. His wonderful life begins to crumble when a peculiar man recognizes Mike at an awards ceremony. Something from his murky past has returned and a group of frightening men are intent on thrusting terror upon Mike's family. With nowhere to turn, as even the police department questions his blank history, Mike reluctantly calls upon Shep, his foster brother who is a career criminal with a dangerous past of his own.

Reading like a roller coaster ride, this book moves at a rapid pace and features a likeable protagonist and menacing villains. The plot is full of satisfying twists as tension slowly builds and then detonates as Mike learns more about his past while attempting to protect his family. Fans of Harlan Coben may enjoy this fast-paced thriller.
