Celtic Fiddler Emily Ann Thompson
Saturday, November 17, 2012
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
From fast, high-energy jigs and reels to captivating airs, ballads and upbeat songs, Emily Ann's performance is lively, passionate, and homegrown with an American flare. Drawing from a wide variety of world music styles, Emily Ann plays traditional Irish, Scottish, and Canadian fiddle tunes in a fresh and original style. She also sings in English and Irish Gaelic, plays piano, and adds Irish dance and foot percussion. Emily's husband Kelly is featured on guitar, percussion, and vocals. Emily's lilting soprano voice and flashy, brilliant fiddling along with Kelly's driving rhythmic guitar, percussion, and unabashed vocals create a powerful combination. No tickets required.
