Thursday, March 21, 2013
6:30 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
How can you grow your own food in a limited space? Come to the viewing of the film Truck Farm and learn how one person created a mobile vegetable garden in New York City. Truck Farm tells the story of a quirky urban farmer who used green roof technology and heirloom seeds to plant a vegetable garden on the only land he has, the back of his grandfather's pickup truck. After the viewing, Lana Compo, Pat Johnson and Rosie Springer of the Spring Green Garden Club will give a presentation on starting your own vegetable garden in a limited space, and answer your gardening questions. Registration for this program is not required. For more information, call the Audiovisual Desk at (317) 571-4281. This program will be held in the Program Room and is co-sponsored by the Carmel Green Initiative.
