Water Conservation and Effective Watering in the Garden
Tuesday, April 9, 2013
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Significant winter rainfall and snow has eased drought fears for now in our area, but with drought conditions affecting recent Indiana summers, learning how to water your garden effectively is a must. Holly Faust, Hamilton County Master Gardener and Advanced Indiana Master Naturalist will offer a presentation on how to water your soil, not your plants, with easy DIY techniques for everyone. She will also discuss water harvesting techniques such as rain barrels. Make preparations now for the 2013 gardening season. This program is sponsored by the Hamilton County Master Gardener Association and the Plots to Plates Organic Community Garden, a project of the Carmel Clay Schools Green Team. Registration for this program is not required. For more information, call the Reference Desk at (317) 844-3362. This program will be held in the Program Room.
