Inferno

Plot/Summary:
Art historian, symbologist and iconographer Robert Langdon strikes again in yet another fast-paced thriller by Dan Brown. This time, Langdon, who finds himself in Florence with amnesia, begins to unravel an apocalyptic plot master-minded by a crazed mad scientist. The mystery revolves around clues found in Dante's Inferno, and finding a secret weapon that will unleash a plague on the world's population. The future of the world rests on Langdon's ability to decipher the clues and find the weapon in just 24 hours. With the help of beautiful doctor Sienna Brooks, who just happens to be a genius, Langdon races through Florence, Venice and Istanbul, all the while being pursued by an assassin who profits from doing the dirty work of those rich and powerful enough to hire him.

Comments:
Although many criticize Dan Brown's writing for being cliché and formulaic, this novel is a fun and suspenseful read with likable characters. The exotic locations and non- stop action make this a book that's hard to put down.
