However, if you want to, you can also set a goal for yourself to read 5000 or more pages this summer and win the right to call yourself a Voracious Reader. Those of us that are setting this goal are meeting weekly during the summer in the Program Room to tell about what we've been reading and to cheer each other on. We will also eat reading-related snacks and make something or play something or do something different each week. We will be viewing a variety of the library's newest Anime (Japanese animation) programs recommended for ages 13+ and enjoy a pizza lunch provided by the Friends of the Carmel Clay Public Library. Permission slips will be available in the Young Adult Department beginning June 1. If you are 18, please fill out a permission slip for yourself so that we have a count for pizza and fire safety. Although attendees are still welcome to come in costume, there will not be a cosplay contest. Instead, we will have an "Iron Chef" snack-making activity with a fun anime twist!
