What is AAII?

AAII stands for American Association of Individual Investors. The AAII was founded in 1978 by Dr. James Cloonan. It is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate individuals to invest successfully and to make the best of the financial assets available to them. One AAII’s main goals is to show that a person does not have to be a financial or mathematical genius to understand the material and help guides provided by the organization. AAII wants to assist people who normally would not consider investing in anything more complicated than a simple savings account.

AAII’s website is an educational tool packed full of valuable information. AAII is a non-profit association and does not use any type of commercial advertising. There is a small annual membership fee for full access to general features of the website along with regular mailings. Look for the print journal here at the library either in the periodical reading room or in the periodical back files. Check out their website to see if the AAII can help you with your financial goals.
