America Saves Week

America Saves Week is coordinated by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council. Started in 2007, the Week is an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status. Typically, over 2,000 organizations participate in the Week reaching millions of people.

Most Americans are not saving adequately for retirement, and most lower-income households do not have adequate emergency savings for unexpected expenditures like a car repair. But with more societal encouragement and support, more Americans will be persuaded to build wealth, not debt.

America Saves Week 2013 will take place from February 25 through March 2nd. In preparation, click here to test your savings knowledge and learn the most effective ways to save money, build assets and manage your investments.

Check back in February for more information on the America Saves Week campaign and to obtain information and resources on saving money and building personal wealth.
