I was doubtful I would enjoy this when I first started reading; however, I was delightfully surprised at how fast I became engaged in the format, moving rapidly from email to letter to Skype transcript to text message. I loved the book just as I have loved all the rest of Herman Wouk's writing. Winds of War is still my favorite.
