Cryptonomicon

Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
The story follows a cast of characters, the Waterhouse's, Shaftoe's and others, running between two plot lines that split between World War II and "present" day, which appears to be the late 1990's. Cryptography and mayhem ensue. This is my third Stephenson read, so I'm familiar with the sometimes tedious and dense writing he produces. Considering this book has several crazy looking formulas and loads of crypto-speak, its tediousness was up to par with my expectations. The writing and story was good, it bounced between time periods with ease, though it felt like it changed too frequently between too many characters. I'll be reading more of his works in the coming future.
