| This is the second Lisa Bergren book I have read. I did enjoy this book, though less than Glamorous Illusions by the same author. This book had less internal turmoil and more interpersonal drama and suspense. Though the main character is fighting consumption throughout the story, she is also working to unravel a mystery and possibly a few murders. I did like the story line of those with consumption rushing West to find health and how they interact with some less savory characters moving West for wealth. I'm looking forward to reading the second and third book in the series.
