The Brain That Changes Itself

The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge
I really liked this book. It reminded me of Oliver Sacks alot (The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, etc.) in that it started with a story and expained in great detail the innerworkings and details of his point. The brain is "plastic" and you can see this in people, myself included, who have suffered the loss of one part of their brain. The brain reworks itself, a process that lasts for years, so that it can accomodate the demands placed upon it. Great book.
