This was MacMahon's first novel. It really has a unique feel with ghost story and thriller. Great novel. -- Added by l3bond on 02/26/2013

Heartbroken
Heartbroken by Lisa Unger (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
In the mood to make a random selection of a book while waiting for my husband to check out his literary finds, I selected a book by an author I had never heard of, much less an author about whom I knew nothing. What a pleasant surprise and discovery! While Emily's life is one disaster after another, Kate's life gives the reader a refreshing perspective on "..just a thing. And things don't mean much. Only people matter." Family dynamics, changing relationships and suspense during challenges for survival are only a few reasons to read this mystery filled with crime by Lisa Unger. I look forward to reading more novels by this author of compelling suspense thrillers. -- Added by Janet McKinney on 02/25/2013

The Lawgiver
The Lawgiver by Herman Wouk (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
Interesting style: told through a series of emails, texts, and notes; and the author, himself, appears as a character in the otherwise-fictional book. I wasn't quite sure how to categorize this story of multiple individuals working together to create a movie about Moses... relationships? adventure? travel? -- Added by zivah on 02/24/2013

The Forgotten
The Forgotten by David Baldacci (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
I used to read David Baldacci all the time, and somehow, I slipped away to other authors because I felt like the books were getting to be "the same." This books is unlike any of his other books I have read and the "problem" he uncovers is a real surprise. I need to go back to the fold and read a few more. -- Added by maxivon on 02/22/2013

The Lifeboat
The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
this books is about survival at sea in a lifeboat, various characters in the lifeboat, what would you do to survive? It's got strong & weak points, not totally wonderful, but worth a read. Interesting ethical questions, somewhat suspenseful, a little bit frustrating. -- Added by bookaddict on 02/19/2013

Shiver
Shiver by Karen Robards (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
Once again, Robards has delivered a romantic, suspense book which is top notch. Samantha Jones owns a tow truck trying to make ends meet for her & her 4 year old son. Finds a BMW only there's a man who has been beaten tied up in trunk. This begins an adventure-who should she trust. She needs to keep her son safe. Lots of not nice people after her. -- Added by raderc on 02/18/2013

The Romanov Prophecy
The Romanov Prophecy by Steve Berry (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
Steve Berry writes some good fun to read novels, very similar to Dan Brown. This one happens to deal with the story of Anastasia and Alexi and their escape from Russia during the revolution. It's an interesting fun to read book. -- Added by jewelz996 on 02/18/2013

Life of Pi
Life of Pi by Yann Martel (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
Easy read, good story. It's almost unfortunate that the tiger-in-the-boat image is so associated with the story. I enjoyed the beginning and ending more than that part. The picture shown here isn't right. It's of an illustrated version. -- Added by sjg on 02/18/2013
