What the Dog Saw
What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell (Mystery, Horror, Crime, Business, Politics)
This non-fiction book is one of the most fascinating books that I have read in a long time. It is a compilation of Gladwell's essays from the New Yorker. Each essay is an indepth look at a rather mundane subject ranging from ketchup to criminal profiling. I find myself quoting many of the facts learned in this book in everyday conversations. Excellent. -- Added by Cyndy on 02/22/2013

The Widower's Two-Step
The Widower's Two-Step by Rick Riordan (Mystery, Horror, Crime, Business, Politics)
A light mystery is my favorite companion for a long car trip and this one fit the bill perfectly. The fact that it was set in and around Austin, TX, by an author that was obviously familiar with that wonderful city was icing on the cake. -- Added by Cyndy on 02/20/2013

The Quality of Life Report
The Quality of Life Report by Meghan Daum (Romance, Women's Fiction, Relationships, Humor)
This is the story of a New Yorker's move to the heartlands. There is a lot of humor in this story, but as we get to know the characters it is obvious that all is not fun and games. The book is well written and I enjoyed listening to it. -- Added by Cyndy on 02/14/2013

The Daughter of Time
The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey (Historical Fiction, Westerns, History)
Tey has written a number of Grant of Scotland Yard's books. This one is somewhat different in that Grant turns his sleuth abilities back in time to the 1500s to investigate the murders of two young princes in the Tower of London. -- Added by Cyndy on 01/28/2013
