Surviving the Angel of Death
Surviving the Angel of Death by Eva Kor (Historical Fiction, Westerns, History)
WOW!!!! This book is amazing!!! Eva tells her story about how her and her twin sister survived the Holocaust and were liberated from Auschwitz!! Not only is this book very sad because of the very ugly truth to it but it is very well written and lets you get to know a very personal part of history!! -- Added by c317s on 02/25/2013

The Giver
The Giver by Lois Lowry (Classics, Literary Fiction, Biography)
I loved this book when I was younger and read it in middle school. My son read it recently as a pleasure read as well and really enjoyed it. Though honestly, I'm not sure that I could read it again as an adult. The hidden communities and rules that governor the community that Jonas lives in is too much to think about now after having children myself as well as family and friends serve in the military. -- Added by c317s on 02/18/2013

The Diary of Petr Ginz
The Diary of Petr Ginz by Petr Ginz (Historical Fiction, Westerns, History)
The book was rather dry and a slow read. Still very sad to hear about this time fame through the point of view from a child that lived it though. However, I would be much more likely to recommend The Diary of Anne Frank before I would recommend this book. -- Added by c317s on 02/05/2013

Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome
Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome by Luke Jackson (Science Fiction, Fantasy, Science, Health)
I have been studying a lot about Asperger Syndrome lately due to the possibility of my child having this disorder. I found that this book was particularly helpful as it is written by an adolescent who has been diagnosed with it himself. Not only does the book give you an insiders perceptive but it also gives you many helpful tips on how you can help someone else who has the diagnose. I have recommended this book to people that work directly with my son so that they can also read it and together we can all gain a better understanding of what my son may not be able to explain to us himself!! -- Added by c317s on 01/27/2013

Three To Get Deadly
Three To Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich (Mystery, Horror, Crime, Business, Politics)
I have really enjoyed the first three books in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series so far. They are fun and easy to read. They combine crime with events from Stephanie's life to make her bounty hunting adventures even more thrilling and dangerous for her. -- Added by c317s on 01/27/2013
