BoneMan's Daughters
BoneMan's Daughters by Ted Dekker (Adventure, Suspense, Travel, Sports)
This book is about a serial killer who murders girls by breaking all of their bones without breaking the skin. this is a very suspenseful novel. The boneman takes a new girl Bethany who is estranged from her Naval intelligence father who is dealing with his own demons. The book follows her fathers desperate attempts to save her while he is trying to allude the police. He is the number one suspect for her abduction. This book did keep me in suspense all the way to the end. Ted Dekker was able to create a very creepy "bad guy" in this novel. One that made me wish I had not read it alone at night. -- Added by ctorres on 02/08/2013

The Beekeeper's Apprentice
The Beekeeper's Apprentice by Laurie R. King (Mystery, Horror, Crime, Business, Politics)
This was actually my first book that contain the Sherlock Holmes character so I can't compare it to all of the original novels. I really enjoyed the novel though! I might have to go read all of the Sherlock Holmes novels now. -- Added by ctorres on 02/03/2013

Be sure to read the rest of the Mary Russell / Sherlock Holmes stories. Of course, read the original Sherlock Holmes stories as well. These are clever, fun, and much better than current television or movies. -- sarasotasun on 02/15/2013
A Game of Thrones
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin (Science Fiction, Fantasy, Science, Health)
I am not a Science Fiction reader normally. I decided to read this based off of reviews and was shocked that I really enjoyed it. There is so much going on between all of the characters. I love that I started off not liking some of the characters but by the end of the book I had started to change my mind about them. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. -- Added by ctorres on 01/31/2013

Dirty Little Secrets
Dirty Little Secrets by C. J. Omololu (Romance, Women's Fiction, Relationships, Humor)
I was hesitant to read this book after I checked it out because it is geared towards high school aged girls and I am a grown woman. That being said I really enjoyed reading it. The young girl is dealing with a mother who is a hoarder and passess away inside of the house. She has been keeping her family secret so long and through out the book she struggles to keep it while dealing with the death of her mother. -- Added by ctorres on 01/28/2013

Seriously...I'm Kidding
Seriously...I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres (Classics, Literary Fiction, Biography)
I find Ellen to be very funny without being crude. Her third book is a very quick enjoyable read. The chapters are short allowing me to get a few laughs in between doing laundry and making dinner! -- Added by ctorres on 01/28/2013

Confederates in the Attic
Confederates in the Attic by Tony Horwitz (Historical Fiction, Westerns, History)
This book was strong and kept me entertained. I thought the author did a fairly good job of keeping his personal views quiet, with a few notable exceptions. As a yankee girl myself I really enjoyed learning more about the South. A ll in All, good read...I wasn't able put it down before I was done. -- Added by ctorres on 01/24/2013
