Gone Girl
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (Other Fiction)
This book is on the best seller list but I wonder about the author's mindset. I think author needs psychiatric counseling. -- Added by Kathie on 03/02/2015

Yes, I also found this book disturbing. The author seems to have serious issues and a lot of bitterness. I won't read any more of her books, nor will I see the movie. -- pittsburghpolish on 03/02/2015
It is disturbing. Thats the whole point. She is taking you to that moment of uncomfortableness to make you think and squirm. Its pure escapism as she takes you away to that place we don't go to in our real world. Its not light reading and its definitely not for everyone. -- Katzda2014 on 03/12/2015
The Kiss
The Kiss by Scott Blumenthal (Historical Fiction)
This book was difficult to read. I could not identify the author's purpose. I could not identify if it was history, education, humor, heritage. At the end the author admitted that he did not know the purpose of the book. The book jumps around from present to past to future and the purpose of the additional characters is annoying. I would not recommend this book. -- Added by Kathie on 02/26/2015

Funny, You Don't Look Like a Grandmother
Funny, You Don't Look Like a Grandmother by Lois Wyse (Humor)
This book was on my bookshelf. I had given it to my mother about 25 yrs. ago. It is a funny book about being a grandmother. There was one anecdote about a woman named Kathy and her daughter Molly which is my name and my daughter's name. This book needs to be updated as it was before cell phones but still remains funny. -- Added by Kathie on 02/23/2015

Food by Jim Gaffigan (Humor)
Jim is a Catholic stand up comedian whose humor is "clean". this is his second book. It is more funny than the previous book. He asks why anyone would eat slimy oysters. He claims no one eats fruit because you have to wash it, then try to peel off the sticker put on by Al Queda, then peel the fruit itself. Too much bother to go thru all of that. -- Added by Kathie on 02/23/2015
