The Mysteries of Agatha Christie

The author of more than 66 novels and short story collections, Agatha Christie became one of the most successful writers in the English language. Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller was born in 1890 in Devon, England. After attending various finishing schools and marrying her first husband, Christie published her first novel The Mysterious Affair at Styles in 1920. Characters created by Christie are famous the world over, especially Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and the elderly Miss Jane Marple. One of Christie’s most iconic works, Murder on the Orient Express, was made into a film in 1974 and again in 2017.
