The word "bibliotherapy" means the use of books as an enhancing adjunct to therapy. This book is focused on books which can be read by women at different phases of their lives to enhance the experiences they are having. Each of the cleverly named thirteen chapters is aimed at a different life point. For example, Chapter 6 "When the Mom Tapes are Looping and You Can't Find the Eject Button: Mother Issue Books" first describes the "critical inner mom" voice that a woman may be hearing and then lists several books in which this voice is echoed. Each recommended book's plot is described and some have additional "Points to Ponder." Famous quotations are interspersed with the book descriptions and some chapters include notes from the authors' personal book journals.
Written in a humorous way, this book provides both fun and serious recommendations.
