The group comes up with the cash to buy a horse named Funny Cide. They hire a trainer and a jockey and they enter the world of horse racing. This fast-paced, funny adventure story is full of details about the group's experience as well as personal insight into the history of the friendships involved. Information about horse breeding, training and racing is dispersed thoughout the book and is interesting as well as educational. The story concludes with Funny Cide running as an underdog the three legs of the Triple Crown.
